A Study of Controlling Head Movement with Using Inaudible Sound

There have been many discussions on the influence ofauditory stimulation on human perception. Among them,studies on the influence of inaudible sounds includeinvestigating the presence of practical influence ofinfrasound on the living body [1], and research on theinfluence of high frequency sound on brain activity [2].These indicate that the auditory stimulation affects even ifthe listener's cognition does not occur. Furthermore, as acase study on multimodal perception including auditorystimulation, there is a study that investigates thecorrelation between the visually-induced self-motion(vection) and the acoustic sound that generates a feeling ofrotation [3]. In this paper, we conducted experiments toverify the influence of the inaudible sound on the headmotion caused by the visual stimulus.
