The known works for impulse influence on hydrocyclones, haven't found their practical application, regardless of their high technological results. The purpose of the research was to optimize the action of an orginal hydrodynamic pulsator. Its extremely simple construction and the lack of moving parts ease considerably the practical implications of impulse cycloning. The research is made using iron- barite ore from Kremikovtzi at a solid content of 10, 15 and 20 percent in the pulp. The optimizing is accomplished with a dispersion analysis upon planning with a Latin square. By optimizing the size of the device, regulating the pressure from 0.05 to 0.2 MPa and classification of 0.1 mm we have achieved a increase in the effectiveness of the classification from 10 to 15 percent We have also ascertained that higher densities ask for higher pressures before the pulsator. The application of this method in the grinding will lead to a considerable decrease in the formation of middling slime and fewer agglomerates in the flotation. The biggest effect however is expected in kaolin beneficiation.
