摘要

This investigation involves the pre-reduction of two different types of chromite concentrates. Pre-reduction tests were carried out on the pellets formed from the mixture of fine chromite concentrate, coke powder and bentonite. Pre-reduction was achieved at various temperatures, length of time, particle size and cabon content. The experimental results suggest that particle size did not have any effect on the reduction rate while temperature and time determined the reduction capacity.
