摘要

On the surfaces of pyrite crystals taken from different geographic locations in Turkey having certain genetic background, contact angle and pulp ottential measurements were carried out in solutions of different pH and in the presence and absence of collector. The pyrite samples used in this study were classified into three main genetic groups, namely contact metasomatic scarn, volcano sedimentary and exhalative sedimentary. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between pyrite genesis and its wetting characteristics in aqueous solutions. The rate of wettability of the pyrite samples can be written in the following order: Volcano sedimentary>Contact metasomatic scarn>Exhalative sedimentary.
