The completion of a total of 17 oil, gas and water injectionrnzones from 7 dry tree wells on the TOTAL Matterhorn TLP,rnoffered the perfect arena for the consolidation of techniquernand teamwork as the pillars of success.rnThe challenge for economical production from thernMatterhorn Field relied not only on what the reservoir couldrngive but also on how the completion could deliver it.rnThe challenging scenario was set with an extremely shortrntime for delivery, combined with the low temperature of therncompletion set at a water depth of around 3,000’, lowrnreservoir pressure and temperature, highly deviated wells andrna challenging reservoir management plan.rnThe completion system integrates multiple tools andrntechniques such as Vacuum Isolation Tubing, SpeciallyrnDesigned Thermal Protectors, Gas Lift System with Gasrninjected from the Short String of the Dual Pack Off TubingrnHanger, Reservoir Monitoring Systems, Stacked frac-packrnSand Control, Optimized Fracturing Treatments, Pressureoperatedrnfluid-loss/well control devices, Mechanical “Smart”rnFlow Control System, one trip isolating locating device.rnUtility of Wireline Tractor Services as a reliable contingencyrntool to address the high deviation; above all the knowledgernand desire of an outstanding team made in part by traditionalrncompetitors that clearly understood the meaning of service andrnsynergy using a quality system concept which is an industryrnfirst.rnThe following lines describe the main events, acknowledgernthose who contributed to them and we hope, will also inspirernothers to undertake similar challenging projects.
