Techno-Economic Evaluations of Deepwater Marginal Field Developments

In Systems Engineering CTR 6901, DeepStar developed arnprocess to identify technologies that have good economicrnimpact on 3 typical deepwater tie-back marginal reservoirs.rnThis is accomplished with a life-cycle economic analysisrnwhich establishes benchmark economics using standardrntechnologies. New technologies were then incorporated intornthese scenarios and the economic impact was compared to thernbenchmark field development results. Use of this processrnprovides insights, for the conditions studied, into newrntechnologies’ ability to have commercial impact on deepwaterrnmarginal fields. This paper provides an overview of this workrnand findings.
