Water Assisted Co-Injection Molding Process

摘要

Water assisted co-injection molding process is a novel process to produce parts with multi-layer and hollow cross-section structure.There are two process variants of it:short shot process and overflow process.The process can offer multi-function requirements,perfect cooling and core-out geometry,wide processing window and lower overall material costs.But the process needs co-injection molding machine and water injection equipment.And the materials used in the process need to be tailored.There are so many processing parameters involved in the process and that leads to the difficulty to obtain the reasonable combination of these parameters.To exploit the process fully,fundamental understandings of it are needed urgently.
