Collaboration Between University and Enterprise for Innovation in the Greater ABC Region, Brazil

With the rise of flexible manufacturing and discussions about economic development models with the recognition that they depend on innovation capacity, this paper assesses the specific relationship between universities and enterprises in the innovation system of the industrial region of Greater ABC, Brazil. What is observed is that, despite the region's prominence in the country's industrialization process, relations between universities and companies focused on the transformation of knowledge into technology and innovation have not reached the desired maturity.
