Here we present the results in quantum cryptography research in Czech Republic. The research was started in 1994 in two main directions: the first was the verification of validity of the Heisenberg uncertainty relation and non-deformed quantum mechanics via quantum cryptography. The limit for measuring the minimal uncertainty was shown on the interferometric quantum cryptographic device. The second direction was the application of quantum cryptography with faint-pulse interferometry for simple identification system. The quantum key distribution has been successfully tested through single- mode optical fibre at 830 nm, emploing low intensity (about 0.1 photons per pulse) coherent state. The third direction is the basic research in quantum information theory.
