APPLICATIONS USING MULTILINGUAL DATABASES ON PALMTOP COMPUTERS AND LOCAL AREA NETWORK FOR GLOBALIZED MANUFACTURING FIELDS

摘要

In this paper, we propose computer applications as a solution of the problems in the communications on the manufacturing fields where foreign workers are intermingled spreading in their native languages. For the communications on manufacturing fields, we also propose tiny palmtop computers which workers can carry and use for their communications personally, but have some problems which must be resoleved for their application. Generally speaking, palmtop computers do not have enough capacity of memories to hold the databeses for multilingual communications entirely even if the programs were coded in very small size in these application programs. We can offer a solution to shorting these databases for tiny capacity of palmtop personal computers.
