Intelligent Agents Architectures for Manufacturing Control

摘要

The use of agent-based approaches to manufacturing control has received quite a bit of attention in recent years. Thisrnpaper provides a brief review of these systems discussing the principle factors that contribute to defining the uniquenessrnof their design. The paper then presents a new approach to employing intelligent agents for manufacturing control thatrnuses a quasi-heterarchical architecture. The details of the design of the intelligent agent used by the system is given andrnit operation in planning and control described.
