Nonlinear Simulation Model of Switched Reluctance Generator System under the Lacking One Phase Fault

The developed nonlinearsimulation model of the Switched Reluctance generator system under the lacking one phase fault by MATLAB-SIMULINK platform was presented, which is based on the three-phase 12/8 structure Switched Reluctance generator system prototype with 500 W rating output power, the threephase asymmetric bridge exciting power converter and the controller with PI output power closed-loop control. The closing off methods of the fault phase in the topology of the exciting power converter and in the simulation model were introduced. The simulation model of PI controller was described. The simulation waveforms of the normal phase current, the simulation curves of the output power and the simulation curves of the output voltage were given. It is shown that the normal phases could offset the loss of the fault phase in output power, and the actual output power could follow the given output power with increased the normal phase current. While the fault phase is lacked suddenly, the normal phases offset the loss of the fault phase and the actual output power follow the given output power, no impulse current and reducing the transition course time of the actual output power following the given output power are inconsistent.
