This paper discusses a new approach for analyzing queuing models of multi-product systems with shared resourcesrnoperating under CONWIP control. Queuing models of such systems are composed of multi-class closed networks withrnstations having general processing time characteristics. Exact analysis of such networks is hard and approximationrnmethods must be used. We propose a new approximate approach based on the parametric decomposition technique.rnThe proposed method is not only computationally efficient but also yields fairly accurate results when compared tornsimulation.
