摘要

The purpose of this paper is to present a model that can be used for system selection and performance analysis ofrncogeneration systems and conventional energy systems application in commercial buildings. The approach isrncomposed of an energy simulation model to generate a building’s energy demand, a life cycle assessment (LCA)rnmodel to model different energy systems, and an optimization model to optimize the selection and operation of thernenergy systems. The performance criteria presented in this paper are global warming potential (GWP) and primaryrnenergy consumption.
