摘要

Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) is a useful tool in the design process. Applying this tool to off-highway hydraulic systems provides structure for designers to identify potential causes of failure modes for the overall system. Comparing the results of a number of system FMEAs shows that certain potential causes appear more frequently than others. Reviewing the frequency of appearance of potential causes in the System FMEA provides some insight into the most likely causes of failures.
