Real time resource allocation in an ATM network

摘要

At the input of an ATM network are present some different types ofnsources with different characteristics, particularly as the bandwidthnconcern. This paper presents a very efficient method for the real timenallocation of resources in ATM networks with a prescribed grade ofnquality of service. It is known that the exact solution of this problemnis quite cumbersome so it is impossible use it in a real timenenvironment. We present an approximate but very fast method that isnuseful in such situation
