摘要

In this paper, the architecture of hierarchical ring topology networks is proposed to reduce large amounts of diameter and average distance within the networks, especialy when there are more than several thousand nodes connected on the networks. In the analysis and derivation, the diameter of a network can be reduced from O(N) to O(mcentre dot m sq root of N), where N is the number of user nodes and m is the level of hierarchiecal network. The analytic results show that the diameter of a network with more than several million nodes connected together can be reduced to less than one hundred. This proposed methodology can be used in the design of a network system and multiprocessor architecture to archive better performance.
