With the growth of PV sector globally, it is need of time to understand the techno-commercial dynamics of investment in E-W trackers. It is evident after declaration in COP21 that world needs huge investment in green energy sector to meet global climate change challenges. Infosys Ltd. has set up a 6.6 MW solar PV plant in Hyderabad Campus thus making it 100 % self sustainable in its green energy demands. Data driven Innovative design ideas and exclusive execution methodologies to mitigate geographical challenges has made this power plant one of its kind across globe. Two different PV technologies in two different orientations including single axis tracking and southward fixed tilt were placed. Before investing further in the PV sector, Infosys did a practical study at its 6.6 MW PV farm to understand the dynamics of extra energy yield on trackers and its value propositions on investment returns.
