Basic guidelines for the preparation of a technical paper for The Conti-Varlet and the stretched-thread method are powerful graphical based techniques used to study flow regularization in hydro power plants. This paper applies this same technique to design a battery energy storage system to provide regularization service to other intermittent renewable generation. The BESS acts as a regulatory reserve in the event of a sudden change in a photovoltaic system.
