The increasing scale and capacity of power grid will lead to the increase of short-circuit current (SCC) level of the buses, which poses threats to the safe and stable operation of power grid. This paper proposes a dynamic partitioning technology for dynamically adjusting power grid partition structure by means of line-switching and load-transferring aiming at the problem of excessive SCC of buses in power grid, meanwhile, a dynamic partitioning optimization algorithm is proposed. Finally, a quantitative evaluation index of dynamic partitioning scheme containing of security, reliability and economy is put forward, which can be used to determine the optimal scheme. Given an example of out-of-limit SCC emergency occurring in a practical power grid, the execution process of dynamic partitioning scheme is analyzed. Simulation results show that proper auxiliary decision-making suggestions can be made to solve SCC problem in power grid.
