This paper theoretically presents nonreciprocity of propagation characteristics of guided waves in a transversely magnetized ferrite slab with a thick perfect electric conductor (PEC) strip grating. The effect of the metal strip thickness on the nonreciprocity of the propagation characteristics is theoretically and numerically considered using mode matching technique.
