A low-loss reflectarray antenna is presented that has good polarization purity and is formed by a single layer of slots backed by substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavities. The 30 dB reflectarray antenna has been designed and fabricated on a standard FR4 substrate. The FR4 substrate's high loss tangent demonstrates the low-loss nature of the design and the ability to implement the reflectarray in a low cost substrate.
