A broadband, circularly polarized (CP), and high-directivity STAR reflector antenna system is proposed. The high system isolation is achieved by mounting well-designed CP receiving (RX) and transmitting (TX) antennas with high front-to-back ratio (F/B) back-to-back. The TX antenna is the feed of a parabolic reflector which flips its sense of circular polarization leading to co-polarized TX/RX radiation and high TX directivity. The designed TX and RX antennas have directivity > 20 dBic and 9 dBic, respectively, and VSWR 46 dB over the band.
