The article looks into the causes and the consequences of a new banking business running model development. The main reason for a new customer service model development is caused by the introduction of progressive information and communication technologies into the banking business. The authors analyze the growth of distant customer service on the territory of the Russian Federation. They also point out the main difference between the traditional and the new banking service models. The authors discover new risks for banking business development connected to the use of information and communication technologies in banking service.
