摘要

To efficiently measure production quality of end face of gradient-index (GRIN) lens, a new experiment installation and a series image processing methods have been developed. The principle and methodology of image processing for feature extraction in GRIN lens end face are described in detail and the determination process of defects information is completed abstractedly for different kinds of defects, including the area and their positions. Innovative experiment methods and promising results of the image processing are introduced in this paper.
