The hybrid projective method developed earlier for analysis of matching and absorbing dually periodical dielectric structures with protruding conical and pyramidal elements is modified here for treating dually periodic dielectric structures formed by conical hollows. The approach involves the method of coupled waves, method of projective matching of fields on the boundaries of partial regions, and one-dimentional finite elements method. Unlike the previous versions, the proposed method uses smaller number of unknown coefficients of expansion. Some numerical results characterizing both the effectiveness of the method itself and capabilities of the structures with the conical hollows optimized for providing match of planar dielectric surfaces to free space are presented.
