The Introduction of 'eXtreme Programming' into Medium Sized Businesses

This paper considers the difficulties of applying eXtreme Programming (XP) in a dynamically changing software development business environment, and reports on quantitative and qualitative issues dominating staff development, productivity and efficiency. In particular, the study reports on the interpretation of XP methodology, and complex communication and human issues in implementation of XP in a medium sized business. Early results are reported and future work described.
