Multimedia-Based Guidance System for Operation and Maintenance of the Building Services Systems

The current building automation and information systems include versatile functions and features. However, it has been observed that only a fraction of these functions are utilized. There are several reasons for the poor functionality and low utilization rate. The usability and full utilization of building information as well as other building services systems can be improved e.g. with the help of animation, sound and video. These multimedia features can be implemented flexibly and at favourable cost with Internet-based solutions.
