摘要

A one-dimensional numerical model to study river morphodynamics is presented. The St. Venant-Exner equations, written in a conservative form, are solved by employing a finite volume method. The numerical scheme is extensively tested under steady and unsteady flow conditions by reproducing various channel geometries providing a great versatility, stability and robustness. The river model is applied to evaluate riverbed evolution involving steep and non-prismatic channels, and including subcritical, supercritical and transcritical flows with and without shocks.
