Glass as a building material is used in a multitude of new applications like modern glass facades orrnroof constructions. Important points in these times are a contribution to a positive energy balance.rnSo the application of solar panels becomes more and more important.There are one the one handrnside diferrent techniques to combine the photovoltaic element with the glass pane. On the otherrnhand side there are different possibilities oft the fixing of the solar panel: Linerar or in points. Firstrnsome basics about the topics glass and solar are explained. The "traditional" systems for fixing ofrnsolar panels and also a very new system are presented very short; more detail information can bernfound in other publications [1]-[15].In addition to this paper in the presentation technical aspectsrnlike principle design rules, static calculation of solar panels and substructure are presented as wellrnas some build examples.
