摘要

The construction of Tohoku Shinkansen between Morioka and Hachinohe started in September 1991 for the purpose of the Asia winter athletic competition in 2003, and finished in December 2002. This construction was mainly managed by Japan Railway Construction Public Corporation. Numakunai Bi are the girder structure viaduct whose span is 395m, which are located 527km980m from Tokyo. We adopted continuous PC box girder with 11 clear span which was applied highly efficient artificial lightweight aggregate concrete and RC T-beam bridge to the superstructure. To the substructure, we adopted portal rigid frame steel pier to P9 ~ P11 (which are located in the cross section of Tohoku Line) using CFT structure, and REED method using H steel and precasting form to the other part for the purpose of reduction of construction period. In addition, we adopted caisson type pile with wide section to the foundation form. This manuscript reports about the designs and construction of these superstructure and substructure.
