METAL HYDRIDES FOR A COMPRESSOR WITH STRICT BOUNDARY CONDITIONS

Since Al reduced hysteresis effectively in the Ce_(0.7)La_(0.3)Ni_(4.5)X_(0.5)-H_2 system (X=A1, Cu or Co), and Cu and Co maintained good PCI-plateaux, it could be reasonable to study combined substitution (Ce,La)(Ni,Al,Co)_5 (e.g.). It should also be studied whether AB5 alloys with other single substitution elements, such as Sn, showed better characteristics than the ones synthesized so far.
