LiNi[0.5]Mn[1.5]O[4] (LNMO) has been receiving a lot of attention as a high potential cathode material. However, the relationship between the degradation of the LNMO particle and the battery characteristics is not fully understood. In this study, an experimental cell was prepared and the degradation of a LNMO particles caused by a charge-discharge cycle was investigated. A spherical aberration-corrected STEM (Cs-STEM), a scanning spread resistance microscopy (SSRM), and an electro-chemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were employed to investigate the crystal structure, the resistance distribution and the electrochemical behavior, respectively. The details of the analysis result will be discussed.
