BEHAVIORAL COMPLEXITY AND CULTURAL EVOLUTION FROM AN EMPIRICAL BASE

A workshop grounded in systems theory, chaos theory, and behavioral complexity theoryrnis outlined and its value both in the validation of certain theories in organizationalrncontexts and in the generation of empirical data in support of theory-building in the fieldrnof organization theory is assessed. The creation and development of group cultures isrnstrongly implicated in the behavioral phenomena described, which are also related to therntheories underpinning the design of the workshop.
