DYNAMIC CHANGE IN NORTH KOREAN POLITICAL SYSTEM: COMPLEX SYSTEMS APPROACH

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the peculiar pattern of change in North Korean political system by complex systems approach. Since 1948 North Korea has been maintaining the relatively stable socialist political system for the last 5 decades even though it has faced the crisis during the Korean war and a series of international instabilities. From the systems theoretical perspective it can be said that North Korean political system could maintain its stability over time. If we can properly apply complex systems approach to the analysis of systemic change in North Korean political system, we can understand the complex patterns of its system functioning and dynamic change over time. The study of complex systems in a unified framework has become recognized in recent years as a new scientific discipline, the ultimate of interdisciplinary fields. Generally speaking, "Complex systems" concerns the nature and consequences of interactions and non-linearities in systems of many objects. Also, North Korean political system is the one of the complex systems. North Korean political system is said one of the unpredictable systems because of its special environments. What was the main variables sustaining the North Korean political systems? How could the North Korean political systems evolved from the inevitable crisis? As a result, I'll analyze the Dynamic Change in North Korean Political Systems by complex systems approach. Also, I would like to analyze the North Korean political system from the theory of non-equilibrium thermodynamics. In this paper, therefore, it can be assumed that North Korean political system is a complex system functioning in the macro-scopic evolutionary process. Also, I will try to explain the change of the North Korean system by the Crossed curve model.
