Abstract: It is an advanced Head-up Display (HUD) design approachto use Computer-Generated Hologram (CGH) constructiontechnique to fabricate a flare-free HUD. The approachis described as determining the combiner performance atfirst and then designing the optical system, whichfinally leads to a set of wavefront polynomials todefine the CGH. An interference- type binary CGH(space-bandwidth product 1.8 $MUL 10$+5$/, dimensions 5mm $MUL 5 mm) was designed and fabricated. Experimentalresults verify that CGH can be used to generateaspherical wavefront.!5
