Analysis of the behavior of counterpoises with lightning current impulses

The objective of this study is anrnexperimental evaluation of a counterpoise behaviorrnwith current impulses of hundred of amps and wavernfronts of nanoseconds. There were obtained resultsrnabout the potential attenuation and wave travelingrnspeed. To achieve trustful results with a low noisernlevel isolated and shielded systems were designed.rnFinally there was a corroboration of the theoreticalrnmodels about transmission lines applied torncounterpoises.
