The Ceramic Lined Steel Pipe Made by The SHS C―T Process

In this paper, the alumina ceramic lined steel pipe was made by the SHS centrifugal-thermit process. The influences of some factors on the process were discussed, and the microstructure and properties were studied meanwhile. The experiment results showed that the ceramic layer consist of Al_2O_3, Al_2O_3.FeO and 3Al_2O_3.2SiO_2 phases, the relative density and the hardness valve of the ceramic were about 91% and 1327 ～ 1548 HV respectively.
