The TSH technology is extremely promising technology that was developed to replace thermo-chemical heat treating processes; such as carburizing, carbonitriding, nitriding; or furnace direct hardening currently widely used. Its benefits are particularly noticeable when induction case hardening medium and large size complex-shaped components. Applicability of the TSH Technology is not only limited to gears. Bushings, transmission shafts, king pins, ball joints, driveshaft and differential crosses, bearings, coil and leaf springs are also good candidates for TSH Technology. Components heat treated utilizing TSH technology are stronger and more durable than some made of conventionally heat-treated standard steels. TSH technology leads to the obvious cost savings. Case hardened components that utilize TSH Technology have an improved cost structure and superior properties over traditional induction and thermo-chemical heat-treating processes. It is lean and green process.
