A CHALLENGE FOR STRUCTURAL HEALTHMONITORING USING FIBER OPTIC SENSOR

摘要

Fiber optic sensors are the key elements for structural health monitoring. In this paper, fiber opticsensors are introduced and the trend of the sensor technology is reviewed. Especially, the healthmonitoring of composites using the fiber optic sensors is focused through the reviews of several casesof applications. Finally, it shows that the fiber sensor technology is useful and prospective through theseveral applications of real structures.
