摘要

The determination of parameters in rheological constitutive equation of soft soils is very important in analysing the time-dependent behaviours of embankments, foundations on and tunnels in soft soils. On the basis of the commonly used rheological models of soft soil, a new method, i.e., polynomial regressive inverse method (PRIM) is proposed in this paper to determine rheological parameters. By establishing the indirect relationship between polynomial regression equation fitted from soil creep test data and the Taylor series-expansion expression of the creep theoretical formula, solving the relevant equations yields the rheological parameters. The present approach is clear in concept and can be readily applied for practical use. The flowchart is given for implementing this method into computer program. Illustrative example is presented, the results of which validate the present method.
