Inversion of the time spectral resistivity method is complicated since too many parameters are involved when the electromagnetic effect and induced polarization effect are considered simultaneously. This paper deals with the automatic optimization inversion based on the generalized inverse and two kinds of inversion method. One method is to use one measuring-point data to implement inversion and the other is to use two measuring-point data to make joint inversion. Inversion is implemented to the three groups of model of the two layer polarizable earth. Results show two point joint inversion have obvious advantage comparing with the one measuring point inversion, automatic inversion (no fixed parameter) of the G type section is better than the D type section because the transient electromagnetic damping response on the D type section is more sensitive, and its inversion is more dependent on the good initial parameter.
