To effectively determine the plutonium by LSC,interfering nuclides are needed removed by extractionchromatographic methods. Many separation methods aremanual and time-consuming. An automated radionuclideseparator with mulriple parallel columns arrangement hasbeen developed for the automation of the radiochemicalprocedures, which is to extraction plutonium fromenvironmental and waste samples.
