The Submerged Floating Tunnel may in some instances offer special advantages crossing lakes or fjords. Planners will have a freedom of locating the crossing at any depth both across the lake and also when entering the shores. Completely invisible crossings at very gentle gradients are possible and combined by underground carparks or train stations these arrangement will protect the environment against both visual and physical pollution.
