Coal pyrolysis in a criculating fluid-bed reactor

A high temperature coal pyrolysis reactor was developed and tested in ascale of 250kg/h. The pyrolysis was performed in a circulating fluidized bed reactor at 850 - 950 deg C. The developed process was demonstrated in integration with a technology of smokeless fuel production at the throughput 8t/h. A mathematical modelling was applied for scaling up procedure. Experimental data and reactor performance are presented.
