The present paper discusses about regional specializations and explores the possibilities of technology transfer in the dairy sector across regions with in the country or across the countries. Culture and tradition have been considered as powerful factors responsible for the possibility of technology transfer and its absorption. There is concern towards how modern technologies (on transfer) could be embodied into the culture of a region or say how these technologies fit into the variety of cultures of different societies. The issue needs to be carefully understood in the wave of globalize economy.
