摘要

Carbon/Carbon (C/C) composites have superior high temperature strength in an inert atmosphere. However, carbon materials have a defective property that they can actively react with oxygen in an oxidation environment at above 500 deg C. In this study, mechanical properties of oxidized C/C composite were investigated by 3 points bending tests. As a result, reductions of bending and shear strength were preferentially recognized in case of the specimen oxidized at 600 deg C comparing to that oxidized at 1000 deg C, even when the total weight loss is almost the same. And, examinations of shear mode fracture behavior by CCD camera indicate that continuous delamination of fiber/matrix interface have been progressed.
