摘要

Probabilistic models are developed for prediction of response, failure modes, and safety parameters for tall structures subjected to intensive earthquakes, explosions and impacts. The essential part of modeling is in taking into account large displacements, damage, and fracture resulting into strong nonlinear response of a structure. Monte Carlo technique is applied to assess the safety parameters with the accompanying analysis of realizations to predict the expected failure modes and to find the ways to avoid a fatal collapse.
