DMS(dimethylsulfide) oxidation in the marine boundary layer is considered as a major issue in climate feedback mechanisms. A numerical model has been developed which simulates the evolution of DMS, SO_2 and sulfuric acid together with Aitken nuclei and CCN(Cloud Condensation Nuclei). Particular attention has been given to the parameterization of SO_2 and aerosol sources and sinks in the presence of stratiform clouds, drizzle and sea spray. Different scenarios have been defined and sensitivity studies performed, resulting in contrasted typical aerosol concentrations regimes in the marine boundary layer.
