In this paper the intermetallic TiAINb alloy was investigated. Isothermal oxidation experiments were carried out in air at 900℃. The kinetics of the oxidation process was analyzed The microstructure of the oxidized material was described. Particular chemical and phase composition the thickness of annealing scales and grain size were measured. Moreover, the niob influence on the microstructure of the alloy surface was discussed.
